before i re-direct you to megan's rules for her type, let me just say, if there is somthing like "xiaolin SHOWDOWN #53 DUEL!"
that means there is in fact, this type of dueling required in order to play. signups are here, where you may signup and such. now heres megan's orignal post:
well, i fink i have an idea for a showdown game called THE DUEL
its like a fighting game, and it involves private messaging me.
Lets say Omi and Jack are in a showdown. they each have 10 health points, and they start on level 1. there is an option of 4 attacks:
Punch - if it lands it makes your enemy lose 1 point
Kick - If it lands it makes your enemy lose 2 points
Block punch - stops the damage of a punch
Block kick - stops the damage of a kick
The aim is to get your enemy's health points to 0.
When the showdown begins, both Jack and Omi wouod pivate message me with what they want to do-
Jack: Punch!
Omi: Block punch!
Then I'd post on the showdown board that jacks punch has been blocked and therefore no damage has been caused.
Then they private message me again:
Jack: Block punch
Omi: Kick
its the wrong block for omi's attack, so jack wud lose 2 health points which I would post on the board.
It would be the same if Omi used a block kick and jack used a punch, except that omi would lose only 1 point.
If Omi and Jack both send you PUNCH or KICK, then they both lose the same amount of points depending on the attack. If jack does KICK and omi does PUNCH, then omi loses 2 points and jack loses one.
Now, lets say jack wins the battle; he wins the wu and gains 1 experience point. If Jack wins enough battles to accumalate 3 experience points in future showdowns, then he goes to level 2, and has 12 health points instead of 10. this is where the weapons come in:
if jack gets to level 3, he can buy robots which can cause health points damage, or any level 3 person can use a staff or other weapons if they are availible. and as levels are gained, I will issue people with new attacks such as SWEEP KICK - allows you to make two consecutive attacks without the enemy being able to block them, or SNEAK ATTACK - takes away ! extra health point if your attack lands. so basically, every 3 experience points accumalated gain a level, a level add 2 health points to what a person already has, and every time a person gains two levels, more weapons and attacks are made availible to them.
They may also be fighting tournaments in which you can boost your level without having to fight in a xiaolin showdown.
Those who are interested in participating in this game must register on this board, for this is where your stats will be posted.
